A true gem of an album. Math rock/jazz fusion/post-rock oh my!!! These cats cover a lot of ground but it's all incredibly performed and a real mind melting journey from start to finish. Think Tortoise and Don Cab on intergalactic space acid but with so much more emotion!
Favorite track: Echophrasia.
Hocus Globus (Radio Show)
Math-Rock-Fusion at its best. It's not only an album, it's an intense journey. Great work. Never heard of Monobody before, but surely will follow these guys. Monobody's amazing music will be definately part of the show.

The guitar work is flashy, but not especially melodic except in bursts. It works, though. I can't hum "Shibuya," but I love it. The complicated guitar work is used for rhythmic effect instead, and the huge, nimble leaps between notes mix with a locked-in rhythm section to make an unusually joyful sound. dom_hucass
Stumbled upon this while looking for some cool music to gift to my brother and was enamored from the start - the band is always locked in, and the way the compositions spin around themselves is really beautiful. Thanks for the tunes, Yvette and co. :) RA//Kevin
